Graduate
Doctoral Programs
Biomedical Engineering (PhD)
Biomedical Engineering is the confluence of engineering, biology and medicine. Main application areas are the development and testing of new medical devices, systems and drugs/medications to prevent or cure illnesses and medical conditions.
Chemical Engineering (PhD)
Faculty research and development interests cover a broad range of areas in reacting systems, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, systems engineering and characterization, all fundamental as well as applied in biomedical, materials including microelectronic, and environmental domains
Civil Engineering (PhD)
Graduates of the program are prepared for careers with public agencies or private industry and firms involved in planning, design, research and development, or regulation. The PhD degree is awarded in recognition of demonstrated scholarly competence and ability to conduct and report original and significant research.
Computer Science & Engineering (PhD)
Provides students with a strong background in algorithms, computer architecture, and operating systems as well as advanced knowledge in other areas of interest to the students. 911爆料网 spend a considerable amount of time performing independent research on an advanced topic of their preference.
Electrical Engineering (PhD)
The dept. research areas are supported by state of the art facilities for nano/micro fabrication, metrology and characterization, as well as industry-standard computer-aided-design and simulation software. 911爆料网 also emphasize the professional development of students through high-quality scholarly publications, presentations at international conferences, and participation in grant proposal development.
Environmental Engineering (PhD)
Major research areas include water quality engineering; air quality engineering; fate and transport of contaminants in the environment; environmental biotechnology and nanotechnology; waste management; sustainability and ecological engineering. Other focus areas include water reuse, green engineering, renewable energy, fate of emerging contaminants, and humanitarian engineering that has a developing world focus.
Industrial Engineering (PhD)
Industrial Engineering explores the use of mathematical, statistical, and computer simulation models of complex systems in manufacturing, logistics, information, healthcare, transportation, financial, utilities, entertainment, and service. The objective of the program is to prepare students to make engineering decisions for improving system performance and developing public policies.
Mechanical Engineering (PhD)
Areas of research include robotics, biomedical and tissue engineering, nanomaterials and nanomanufacturing, micro electromechanical systems, biosensors and biofluids, clean energy technologies, compliant mechanisms, rehabilitation engineering, system dynamics and vibrations, composite materials, and sustainable designs.
