Combat Support

What is Combat Support? 

Combat support refers to units that provide fire support and operational assistance to combat elements. Combat support units provide specialized support functions to combat units in the areas of chemical warfare, engineering, intelligence, security, and communications. Combat Support works together with the Combat Arms and Combat Service branches to complete any task or mission in order to successfully defend the United States of America, its allies, and its interest.

Some of the basic branches for Combat Support include:

  • Military Police
  • Adjutant General's Corps
  • Finance Corps
  • Military Intelligence
  • Signal
  • Cyber

Signal Corps Branch Soldiers are experts in operating and maintaining the Army鈥檚 data systems, and resources.

Military Police (MP) to maintain order and discipline. They serve as the Army's law enforcement and security officers, and handle crimes committed on Army installations.

The Army's Military Intelligence branch is responsible for all intelligence gathered or learned during Army missions.

Cyber operations execute defensive and offensive cyberspace operations. The threat of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) weapons requires the Army to have a corps of dedicated professionals capable of using the latest CBRN defense technology.

The Chemical Branch protects our country from CBRN hazards and 911爆料网apons of Mass Destruction (WMD).

Adjutant General Corps Soldiers are experts in personnel management. This branch helps Soldiers with tasks that affect their welfare.
