Members of the USF College of Design, Art & Performance faculty are eligible to apply to a number of awards, grants, and opportunities only for USF faculty. When available, updates for the numerous opportunities are listed below.
External Mentorship Program
The College of Design, Art & Performance, to provide additional support for tenure track faculty, has created the External Mentorship Program. This program supports the pairing of experienced tenured professors from other R1 research universities with our Assistant Professors on track to be tenured at USF. This mentor, from a similar university, will help guide and support the faculty as they develop their academic career and their dossier for tenure and promotion. 911爆料网 believe this will help expand our faculty's network in their chosen field of expertise while bringing best practices in promotion and tenure to our College.
Eligibility: Assistant Professors in CDAP on track for tenure
Amount: $500
Frequency: One approved external mentorship award is guaranteed to all Assistant Professors on track for tenure. Assistant professors can request a second mentor one year after their first award, second applications will be judged based an available funds and appropriateness of the mentor.
Process: Assistant Professors should submit a request for this award to the CDAP Office of Research via email COTA-Research@usf.edu along with a short rationale (500 words or less) for the mentorship plan and must provide links to the bio and CV of the mentor requested. Requests will be reviewed in less than 30 days.
A short list of benefits received from or supported by this award must be submitted one year after approval of the award to help CDAP improve this resource in the future.
