Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15th through October 15th by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of the Hispanic and Latinx communities whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, as well as Central and South America.

The mission of Hispanic Heritage Month is to provide students with the opportunity to experience and become immersed within the Hispanic and Latinx culture through various points of reference that will enhance their education, social, and ability to become mature global citizens.

Latinx is an inclusive term to encompass all genders represented in the Latin community in addition to individuals who identify as Latina/Latino.
