DISTINGUISHED UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR

The Distinguished University Professor Award is bestowed upon members of the USF faculty who have had - and continue to have - outstanding records of achievement in their disciplines.

Council on Foreign Relations Fellow

The Council on Foreign Relations Fellowship Program offers unique opportunities for mid- and senior-career professionals focusing on international relations. Selected fellows have the opportunity to broaden their perspective of foreign affairs either by pursuing research or working in a policy-oriented setting.

American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow

Election as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow is an honor bestowed upon AAAS members by their peers. The Association of American Universities (AAU) recognizes AAAS Fellows as one of the indicators of distinction within an institution鈥檚 faculty.

Royal Society of Chemistry / Royal Society of Biology Fellow

Founded in London in 1841, and later granted its original Royal Charter from Queen Victoria, the Royal Society of Chemistry is the oldest chemical society in the world. Its mission is to advance excellence in the chemical sciences.

Fulbright Specialist

This program recognizes highly qualified U.S. academics and professionals who are then paired with host institutions abroad where they can share their expertise, as well as invest themselves in other cultures.

Fulbright U.S. Scholars

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State鈥檚 Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The Fulbright Program provides awardees with the opportunity to study, teach, conduct research, and find solutions to shared international concerns.

National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award

The Faculty Early Career Development Program offers the most prestigious awards to support early-career faculty who have the potential to stand as role models in both research and education, and lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.

Officer鈥檚 Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic

The Order of Isabella the Catholic is a Spanish civil order granted in recognition of services that benefit the country. The Order was created on March 14, 1815 with the intent of 鈥渞ewarding the firm allegiance to Spain and the merits of Spanish citizens and foreigners in good standing with the Nation and especially in those exceptional services provided in pursuit of territories in America and overseas.鈥�
