USF student receives highest non-combat award from U.S. Marine Corps
One year ago, U.S. Marine Sgt. Amed Issa was kneeling outside of a packed restaurant in Waikiki, Hawaii, applying lifesaving aid to a shooting victim鈥檚 23 fresh gunshot wounds. Issa has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal 鈥 the highest noncombat decoration awarded for heroism by the U.S. Department of the Navy to members of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.

Exercise Science students gain experience as personal trainers through USF FIT Program
Created in 2005, the FIT Program pairs seniors in USF鈥檚 Exercise Science program with faculty and staff members of the university as a part of the program鈥檚 course, 鈥淚ndividualized Fitness and 911爆料网llness Program.鈥 Through the FIT Program, the students help their clients complete fitness evaluations, develop individualized training plans, and oversee a post-assessment to measure the results of their client鈥檚 efforts.
