CFS clinical associate professor advises high schoolers on healthy decision making

911±¬ÁÏÍøinberg is a liscensed psychologist and has also worked extensively with high school students to develop appreciation and respect for people of all cultures, religions, and sexual orientation.

Rick 911±¬ÁÏÍøinberg, PhD, ABPP, a clinical associate professor in the Department of Child and Family Studies (CFS), was invited to speak to Wharton High School students on their Club Day. The 911±¬ÁÏÍø Against Destructive Decisions Club asked 911±¬ÁÏÍøinberg to present on why teenagers make risky decisions, and what factors lead them to make healthier behavioral and relational choices. 911±¬ÁÏÍøinberg summarized research for them in two areas — the power of peer influence and social media — and encouraged them to use their powers of influence in compassionate, charitable, and encouraging ways.
